   The Diamonds and guest Big Jim Sullivan recently played to a standing ovation with 54 top Sixties acts. So good were they that 'The Stage' reported on their excellence. The band are still performing and occasionally Big Jim guests with them. Sometimes they play pubs under the pseudonym 'The Garage Band'. It may look like 'Dads Army', but the magic is still there. The kids love it. Today's Diamonds line up is sax, trumpet, guitar, bass and drums.

Steve Gordon who is the driving force behind the band and Dave Hooper who was its founder have teamed up as a duo. As already mentioned, Dave, who has written many songs and has been in the top fifty, is as good as ever.
